Sacrament Preparation for 2021 is home-based which is in response to the current conditions under COVID-19. The home-based program recognizes parents as the primary teachers of the Faith. In order to assist the parents in their role, the Diocese provides coaching support for parents delivered via Zoom. First Communion/Eucharist
If you were registered for First Reconciliation in the fall you are also registered for this Sacrament and do not need to reregister. An email has been sent with further details..
If you would like to register for First Holy Communion but did not complete preparation for First Reconciliation in the fall please contact the parish office to speak with Fr. Julian.
Registration links for online Parents Coaching Sessions for First Eucharist or First Communion are now available at https://www.catholicyyc.ca/firsteucharist.html The first coaching session starts on Tuesday, February 2.
Confirmation
Registration for the Sacrament of Confirmation has now begun and will continue throughout the month of January. Preparation for the Sacrament begins in February.
The Diocese of Calgary has selected an on-line program called Chosen: Your Journey Toward Confirmation by Ascension Press. Chosen: …. takes young people on a journey through the entire Catholic faith in all its richness and vitality.
Candidates will take part in select video lessons, between February 1 and April 30, 2021. As well they will be asked to complete a Mass Journal, Service Project and a Letter to Bishop McGratten. Complete details can be found on the Diocese website.
Parents will need to register twice:
