Children in grades six and above
For most of us who were baptized as children, Confirmation is the sacrament that completes our full initiation into the Church. Confirmation is sometimes called the sacrament of the Holy Spirit, because it is through this sacrament that we are reminded that we received the gift of the Spirit in Baptism, and that we are now sealed with the Spirit. In Confirmation we are reminded of our baptismal call to carry on the mission of Christ to spread the Good News of God through our actions and words of faith, hope, and charity. The sacrament of Confirmation is celebrated with Bishop William McGrattan during the Easter Season.
Preparation will consist of one parent meeting, five student classes and a retreat, all of which require mandatory attendance. Parents will also be provided with resources, and are encouraged to be strong role models of the Catholic faith as your child prepares to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.
Registration is now open.for a registration form. Please fill out the form and scan and email back to, or drop off at, the parish office (along with a copy of your child’s baptism certificate).
